World Cup Skiing Finals coming to Colorado in only 31 Days!!

Only one month until the Audi FIS SKI World Cup Racing Finals arrive in Aspen, Colorado March 15-19, 2017!

The Finals will be the first outside Europe since 1997 and the return of men’s World Cup in Aspen for first time since 2001.  Both the Men’s and Women’s teams will be competing for the World Cup Finals for 2017 in Overall, Slalom, Giant Slalom, Downhill, Nordic Combined & Super G!

Colorado Ski Chairs was commissioned by Aspen Skiing Company to make 21 country flags & custom logo ski chairs for the event. So far we’ve done international country flag themed chairs for USA, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Russia, Liechtenstein, Slovakia, Slovenia, Norway, Sweden, Finland and are waiting to see who else will qualify.

Our chairs are all hand painted with oil enamel and made with Douglas Fir and are top quality, comfortable adirondack chairs.  We will be auctioning off many of the chairs after the event as well so let us know if you’re interested in purchasing an official world cup ski chair after the event!  We will be working to get them autographed as well by the athletes from each country as well!

The bold colors of these flags look amazing.  They’re really going to be beautiful and add to the World Cup Village ambiance.  We will be also doing three large wooden, oversize chairs featuring the US Ski Team logo, the Audi FIS World Cup Alpine Skiing 2017 LOGO as well as our signature design the Colorado Flag!

Aspen has an incredibly rich skiing heritage and is the perfect location for such a prestigious international event.  We know the international support will be immense.  Ski racers in the states, the big names like Lindsay Vonn, Resi Stiegler, Travis Ganong, Steve Nyman, Ted Ligety and Mikela Shiffrin are getting more popular here in the states every year, but in Europe, these World Cup Ski racers are household names and more like the NFL stars or Hollywood stars we know here.  So glad to have the best of the best from around the world all here competing for the top spots in alpine racing!

There will be racing events for both the Men’s and Women’s fields in the 4 major disciplines: Downhill, Super G, Slalom and Giant Slalom.  The overall title for the year will be awarded as well, with our own Vail Colorado native & Team USA #1 ranked Female skier Mikela Shiffrin sitting in the driver’s seat for another world championship as well as her first overall title!

These fast paced, exciting, technical events will be a blast to watch live or on TV, make sure to tune in and participate in any way you are able!
